Jann Kalscheur is a nature photographer (her day job is high school English teacher). Ever since 1988 when her son Ben showed her a mussel shell “B” on a sandbar, she’s been taking pictures of things in nature that are shaped like letters of the alphabet. Her sons now say, “Mom, it’s time to move on.” But she loves the hunt.
Lynne Diebel is a writer (her day job used to be high school English teacher). She and Jann created ABCs Naturally (Trails Books, 2003), a collection of images, poetry and prose celebrating nature’s ability to fascinate. Lynne, a newbie photographer, is now addicted to alphabet hunting as well.
